After finishing U.C. Davis, Edwin was involved in his graduate PHD studies/career in microbiology. Always wanting to venture into real estate, he made a career change in 2000 and began investing in multi-family distressed units in Oakland, CA and never looked back as it became his passion.
Having a deep knowledge of housing construction, unique outside the box thinking with marketing for sales and property management he brought this knowledge and experience when him when he partnered up with Lori Phelan and formed Smooth Sailing Realty & Property Management. His bilingual team becomes your personal assistant, coach, mentor and agent to make the sale, purchase and management of real estate an easy and outstanding experience.
Edwin is very involved with community outreach and volunteer efforts and loves to teach others what he has learned so others can have the same passion for the Real Estate Industry as a whole. He has a deep care for improving the lives of families within the community and finding housing for families in need. He loves to spend time with his family traveling, hiking, running and trying all types of ethnic cooking and recipes. Since he loves his job, he believes he never has to work a day in his life.
